Rules

The ranking
- Every entry on the board is a bid. Position is set by the amount: the highest bid is #1.
- A first bid starts at 5 € — a new handle, a free entry being reactivated, or a listed entry being claimed. After that, raising your own already-paid spot costs from 1 €. Bidding less than #1 still puts you on the board, at whatever rank your amount takes.
- You can also join for free (a 0 € bid): your listing then sits below every paid bid, oldest first. Turn it into a paid bid from 5 € at any time to move it up.
- If two bids match, the older entry keeps the edge.
- An entry is identified by its handle alone. A handle holds a single spot on the board, across all categories; the category is just an attribute of that entry.
- Bidding on a handle that is already on the board raises it, at any time: the amount you enter is what you pay now, and it adds to the current bid. A 31 € bid + a 50 € payment = an 81 € total. The category you pick then replaces the previous one.
- Positions are held until someone bids more. There is no time limit and no refund when you get outbid.
Ad slots
- The 8 fixed placements (side columns) are 19 €/week, with a discount for 2 weeks (−10%) and 1 month (−25%).
- A booked slot is displayed for the period paid for, outside the ranking. When it expires, it becomes open again.
- You can supply your own visual (320×180, PNG/JPG/WebP, 500 KB max) when booking.
Payments
- All payments go through Stripe. One-off charge, no subscription.
- If the board moves while you are paying and the amount paid no longer covers the action (someone passed you at the same moment), you are refunded automatically.
Content
- Name, handle, destination link and visuals must be lawful and belong to whoever is bidding (or be used with permission).
- Refused and removed without notice: illegal, misleading or hateful content, adult content, malware, phishing, and impersonation of a third party.
- We may remove an entry or a visual that breaks these rules. In that case, a refund is at our discretion depending on severity.
- Appearing on the board is paid visibility, not an endorsement from ecombid.
